SECRICOM at BAPCO 2010 in London between the 20th and 22nd April


BAPCO 2010 consists of a 3 day conference (20th to 22nd April) and a 2 day exhibition (21st to 22nd April) and is held at the Business Design Centre, Islington, London, UK.


SECRICOM is presenting at the conference for the second year running. The presentation this year will include:

  • The background to the project, the objectives and technical challenges;
  • The work undertaken to establish the user requirements for communication in crisis management and the key findings / shortfalls;
  • The potential application of technologies to address these shortfalls;
  • Progress made by SECRICOM to date (high level summary);
  • An illustration of how the implementation of SECRICOM could be achieved.

The project has also taken the opportunity this year to have a stand at the exhibition. At stand 217a, visitors will be able to meet some of the SECRICOM Partners, discuss the project aims and outcomes and see a selection of the technology being developed as part of an operational test bed.


BAPCO 2010 (

BAPCO (British Association of Public Safety Communications Officers) organise an annual international conference and exhibition where buyers and operators from the emergency services can meet with communication equipment suppliers. Now in its 12th year, this event has become recognised as the premier event of its type in Europe. The event attracts delegates, speakers and exhibitors from around the world and is an excellent opportunity to learn about emerging challenges and new developments; it also offers tremendous networking prospects.
